The process of creating an image on a plate, or matrix, and then printing it on a press always intrigued me. It was something I wanted to learn and experience and gave myself over to that work for about five years.

Many printmakers are also painters and monotypes are the way to be both at once. The magic of lifting the plate off the paper is something we all love. I have plates waiting in the studio for that magic to happen again.
